Sage 300 “Featured Transfer error” occurs when installing Sage 300 on a client computer.

This error typically occurs when installing the workstation components. The cause of this error message is that the shared data directory specified during the installation may not be correct and/or the Windows user you are logged into the workstation witt, to install the Sage 300 client, may not have enough permissions either on the workstation and/or the server directory.

To resolve this error you should log into the workstation as a domain administrator on the network or as a Windows Administrator and specify the correct Sage 300 shared data directory. To locate the correct shared data directory
On a 64 bit computer:

  1. Click Start and type regedt32 in the search box. The registry editor window will open
  2. Browse to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | Wow6432Node | ACCPAC International, Inc. | ACCPAC | Configuration sub key
  3. Double-click the Shared Data registry value name and make note of the full path

On a 32 bit computer:

  1. Click Start and type regedit in the search box. The registry editor window will open
  2. Browse to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | ACCPAC International, Inc. | ACCPAC | Configuration sub key
  3. Double-click the Shared Data registry value name and make note of the full path

Once the correct Shared Data Directory path is known, specify it during the installation of Sage 300 ERP on the problem client computer. The installation should continue without error.
